Leadership
Method
As World Design Lead at Monolith, I’m always striving for the best possible experience.
From initial sketch, to gameplay complete and metric compliant spaces, I work cross-discipline to ensure stakeholders are informed and consulted. My job is to unblock, mentor, and provide a positive and safe workplace for my team. Fostering creativity and allowing avenues for growth are my primary objectives.
Utilizing provided resources on people manager development and professional coaching I’m always pushing myself to be the best leader I can.
“Jason was my lead during my time at Monolith. Not only was he extremely understanding and compassionate, he was an excellent teacher and mentor. Jason provided critical feedback on my work, and taught me so many design concepts that elevated the spaces I worked on. He was not only the cornerstone of his team but also an essential asset to many, MANY other teams that depended on his cross-disciplinary collaboration.”
“Jason is an incredible collaborator and outstanding World Design Lead! His background in environment art enables him to be the perfect liaison between Art and Design, effectively balancing visuals, gameplay and narrative with technical requirements, and mindfulness of production impacts/constraints. He brings a calm, pleasant demeanor and communication is consistently clear, thoughtful and professional.”
“Jason built and led an excellent world design team for a large AAA open world game experience. He provides an essential connection to the design side of the equation for world building and does it with care and confidence. Working with him as World Art Lead, I relied heavily on Jason to help find the best solutions to bridge Art Direction’s visions with the necessary Gameplay, Traversal, and Narrative world needs.”
Monolith
Monolith will always be in my heart. Having spent a combined 11 years there, it formed the backbone of my games career. It’s at Monolith that I made the move to lead designer, preparing me for the next chapter.

Valkyrie
I’ll always be thankful for my time at Valkyrie Entertainment. They hired me as an artist but let me follow my dreams and transition to design. They believed in me and provided space for me to grow. It’s this experience I take and leverage as part of my own leadership style.
Personal
Always pushing myself, I love to learn. When I’m not making video games, I’m making art, designing board games, creating videos, and exploring the world.
